Debra Clayman

Debra Clayman is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in managing litigation for Truist Insurance Holdings and its subsidiaries as the Associate General Counsel and Head of Litigation since April 2023. Previously, Clayman held positions as Associate General Counsel & Senior Vice President at Truist from April 2018 to April 2023 and as Assistant General Counsel & Vice President at BB&T from October 2013 to April 2018. An attorney at Jones Day from September 1999 to September 2013, Clayman represented Fortune 500 companies in high-stakes litigation, including class actions related to banking, securities, antitrust laws, and mass torts. Clayman earned a JD summa cum laude from American University Washington College of Law and a BA with college honors in Political Science and Russian from Washington University in St. Louis.
