Poonam Lal

Poonam Lal is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product management and operations, currently serving as the Head of Product for Trust & Safety at TikTok since September 2024. In this role, Poonam leads a team focused on developing and launching trust and safety products for the US market. Previously, Poonam worked as a Product Manager for Brand Safety and Monetization Tools at Spotify from 2023 to 2024, where responsibilities included guiding product strategy and execution for B2B tools. While at Meta from 2018 to 2023, Poonam managed roadmaps and product launches aimed at utilizing machine learning for detecting and addressing abuse. Poonam’s earlier roles include Program Manager at Alto Pharmacy and Consulting Associate II at BPM LLP, as well as experience at PwC in investment management and banking. Poonam holds a B.S. in Business Administration with a double major in Accounting and Marketing from the University of San Francisco School of Management.
