Yiren Jian

Yiren Jian is a Research Scientist with a strong background in developing multi-modal large language models, currently working at TikTok since September 2024, following a similar role at ByteDance from February to September 2024. Prior experience includes internships at ByteDance focused on generative visual-language models, Snap Inc. where the development of neural speakers for affective image captioning was undertaken, and NEC Laboratories America, Inc. working on physical-augmented machine learning models for precision immunotherapy. Yiren Jian holds a PhD in Computer Science from Dartmouth College, a Master of Science in Physics from The George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
