Kim Putters

Kim Putters serves as Universiteitshoogleraar Brede Welvaart at Tilburg University and Eredoctor at Open Universiteit, both since September 2022. As a board member of the Nationaal Comité 4 en 5 mei since June 2019, Putters also contributes as a columnist for Het Financieele Dagblad, where columns and essays focus on current societal issues, alongside the publication of the book "Veenbrand" in 2019. Previously, Putters held various significant roles including vice-chair at Oranje Fonds until October 2024, kroonlid at the Social Economic Council until September 2022, and a professor at Erasmus University Rotterdam from June 2013 to September 2022, specializing in health policy and governance. Additional leadership experience includes chairing the ZonMw commission for Youth from 2007 to July 2022 and served as the director of the Sociaal en Cultureel Planbureau (SCP) from June 2013 to June 2022. Academic qualifications include a doctorate in social sciences and public administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam.
