Akshay Koodly Ravishankara

Akshay Koodly Ravishankara is a Medior Scientist Innovator at TNO since April 2017, specializing in computational tools for aerodynamics within the Wind energy unit, focusing on CFD, panel methods, and boundary layer theory. Prior experience includes an internship at ECN where Akshay developed a new CFD tool for predicting aerodynamic performance of wind turbine airfoils, as well as a research internship at TU Bergakademie Freiberg involving CFD analysis of compressor blades using ANSYS Fluent and Open FOAM. Akshay's early industrial training at Karnataka Cnc Tech Pvt Ltd included summarizing design and quality processes in aerospace. Akshay holds a PhD in Engineering Fluid Dynamics from the University of Twente, a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue University, and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka.
