Tye Smies

Tye Smies is an accomplished Mechanical Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree from Milwaukee School of Engineering and further education from Technische Hochschule Lübeck. With extensive experience in the engineering field, Tye currently serves as a Tool & Die Designer at Tools, Inc. since October 2024, following a position as Mechanical Designer - Tooling at Paper Machinery Corp. from May 2018 to October 2024. Previous roles include Project Engineer at Southport Heating, Plumbing, & Geothermal and a significant design project involving a four-legged robot during studies at MSOE. Additionally, Tye has held various positions in customer service and manufacturing, demonstrating a strong foundation in both mechanical design and practical application within the industry.
