Matthew Fox

Matthew Fox is an accomplished engineering manager and founder with extensive experience in software development and team leadership. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at TopLeft since February 2019, Matthew has successfully transformed an underperforming engineering team, achieving a 72% increase in velocity through mentorship and workflow adjustments, and is leading a SOC 2 Type II certification project. Previously, as Division Manager, Matthew grew a SaaS business unit significantly and implemented a reliable multi-region cloud hosting environment. With prior roles as Senior Systems Engineer at Crafty Penguins and Software Development Manager at Turnium, Matthew has demonstrated expertise in CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Computer Information Systems with a focus on Software Development from the University of the Fraser Valley.
