Barry Thomas

Barry Thomas has significant experience in leadership roles focused on advancing equity and social justice. Currently serving as the Acting Director at the Centre for Advancing the Interests of Black People under Toronto Community Housing Corporation since November 2022, Barry previously held the position of Executive Director at the Canadian Centre for Police-Race Relations within the Government of Canada from 1991 to 1996. Barry's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from York University (1981-1984) and a Bachelor's degree in Politics Studies from Trent University (1979-1981).
