Stephanie Kennedy (LaPlaca)

Stephanie Kennedy (LaPlaca), PhD, serves as a Senior Scientist at ToxStrategies LLC since January 2022, previously holding positions as Scientist III and Scientist II. In addition, Stephanie has been a Certified CrossFit Trainer at CrossFit Epoch since January 2018. Prior experience includes a role as Graduate Teaching Assistant at Clemson University from 2017 to December 2021, and as Environmental Health Manager at the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, where responsibilities included conducting biological assessments of surface water for quality evaluation. Early in their career, Stephanie worked as a Research Technician, performing chlorophyll a analysis, and as a Research Assistant at the University of South Carolina, contributing to a project on Lake Wateree's water quality. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Environmental Toxicology from Clemson University, a Master’s Degree in Environmental Health Sciences, and a Bachelor of Science in Marine Sciences, both from the University of South Carolina.
