Gunther Bright

Gunther Bright is an experienced executive and board member with a strong background in strategic advisory roles across various industries. Currently serving as an Independent Board Member at TPG Capital and Emburse, and as an Advisor to Varo Bank, Gunther focuses on organizational growth and operational efficiency. As Executive Vice President and General Manager at American Express since January 2012, Gunther has overseen significant turnarounds and developed strategic initiatives to capture new market opportunities. Additional leadership roles include serving on the executive committees of Junior Achievement of New York and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, as well as prior board positions at Warburg Pincus LLC and McAfee. Gunther's extensive experience includes advising on acquisitions and enhancing company performance in both private and public transitions.
