James George Coulter

James (“Jim”) Coulter is the Executive Chairman and a Founding Partner of TPG, the Co-Managing Partner of The Rise Fund, and Managing Partner of TPG Rise Climate. Jim is a 1982 Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude graduate of Dartmouth College. In 1986, Jim received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was named an Arjay Miller Scholar.

Jim has served on over 35 corporate boards in his career, and currently serves on Creative Artists Agency, Philz Coffee and Rodan + Fields. He has also served on the Board of Trustees of Dartmouth College and Stanford University.
