Cameron Pride

Cameron Pride is an experienced professional in education and career advising, currently serving as a College & Career Readiness Advisor for the Houston Independent School District since December 2021. Cameron has developed over 45 individualized success plans and manages a College Readiness program for more than 300 students across two specialty schools. Previous positions include roles at Houston Community College and the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, where responsibilities ranged from advising to enhancing communication and engagement strategies. Cameron's early career includes teaching and residential life coordination at Prairie View A&M University, focusing on diversity and inclusion in recruitment. Cameron holds a master's degree in Sociology and a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections, both from Prairie View A&M University.
