Ron Buckanovich

Ron is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), Director of the Ovarian Cancer Center of Excellence, and Co-Director of the Women's Cancer Research Center at Magee-Women's Research Institute. A pioneer in the field of ovarian cancer stem cells, he has received multiple honors including a Clinical Investigator Award from the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation and the National Institutes of Health, New Innovator Directors Award. Ron received an MD from Cornell University and a Ph.D. from Rockefeller University.
