Jacob Castillo

Jacob Castillo currently serves as the Chief Sustainability Officer for the City of Fort Collins, a position held since March 2023. Prior experience includes roles such as Economic Development Director and Enterprise Zone Administrator at Larimer County from October 2012 to March 2023, and Vice President at Northern Colorado Economic Development Corporation from 2003 to 2007. Jacob has been involved with the Sustainable Living Association as a Board Member from 2007 to 2017, and co-founded both Panda Bicycles, known for its innovative bamboo bicycles, and PowerMundo, a social enterprise focused on environmental sustainability and poverty alleviation. Educational credentials include multiple degrees in Social & Sustainable Business, Economics, and Foreign Language & Literature from Colorado State University, along with study abroad experience at Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Costa Rica.
