Rowan Wakeling is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in service planning and translation. Currently serving as a Service Planning Officer and Specialist at Transport for Greater Manchester since December 2011, Rowan plays a key role in a Local Sustainable Transport Fund project to enhance Demand Responsive Transport services and is leading the development of a new E-Learning platform for transport operators. Additionally, since September 2012, Rowan has been self-employed as a Business Support Assistant for Drivesafe and a freelance translator, translating from French and German into English, and leveraging CAT tools such as Wordfast and SDL Trados, with over 75,000 words of experience across various text types. Rowan holds a Master's degree in Language Interpretation and Translation from The University of Manchester and a Bachelor of Arts in French and German from the University of Birmingham.
