Yolanda Braxton

Yolanda Braxton is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in program management, data analysis, and quality control within the U.S. Department of Transportation. Currently serving as Director of Program Management, Data and Statistics since October 2017, Yolanda leads a team focused on budget formulation, regulatory evaluation, and risk-based analysis to support PHMSA's decision-making processes. Prior to this role, Yolanda was a Data Operations Coordinator at the same department, where initiatives were developed to enhance data quality and implement the Hazardous Materials Incident Communication System. Yolanda has furthered professional development through executive education at the Federal Executive Institute. Academically, Yolanda holds a PhD in Political Science and Government from Howard University, as well as a Master’s in Public Administration and a BA in Political Science, both from Texas Southern University.
