Amy Showalter has extensive experience in emergency planning and project management, currently serving as an Emergency Planner for Johnson County, KS Government since December 2022. Previously, Showalter worked as a Studio Coordinator for both Kelly Alley Photography and Sarah Ireland Photography in early 2022, and held a significant role as a Public Health Emergency Preparedness Planner for Johnson County from 2006 to 2022, leading projects such as the Medical Countermeasure Operational Readiness Review and the development of the Health Request board in WebEOC. Showalter's early career included various positions at Farmers Insurance, concluding as an Office Manager. Amy Showalter holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Business Administration and Management from Johnson County Community College.
