The Consulting Sales Arborist is responsible for meeting with municipal, commercial, and residential tree care customers and selling a wide range of tree care services to new and existing customers throughout the Twin Cities metro area. These services include pruning, removal, stump grinding, planting, and plant health care. This position is supported by a production team and administrative staff dedicated to providing outstanding value and excellent customer service.
Essential Functions:
· Consult with clients and assist them in the stewardship of their urban canopies
· Consistently provide excellent customer service throughout every step of the sales process
· Estimate job costs and provide quotes to clients
· Expand our client base by actively seeking out new customers and networking with a variety of communities by promoting and marketing our tree care services across the Twin Cities metro area.
· Utilize Customer Relations Management (CRM) software to document and track client communication and information
· Coordinate sold work with our scheduler and Tree Care Production Manager to ensure safety, quality, and productivity
· Collaborate with our Communications and Marketing team to maximize customer inquiries through multiple social media platforms and other channels
· Stay in tune with the tree care industry as best practices evolve and innovative technologies emerge
Required Qualifications:
· ISA certification or ability to obtain within the first 6 months.
· Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in tree care sales.
· Strong knowledge of tree care industry best practices including tree & shrub ID, pruning & removal techniques, plant health care,
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and able to utilize technology effectively
· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
· Clear background check
Preferred Qualifications:
· 2-5 years of production tree work
· Degree in arboriculture, forestry, or related field
· Prior experience with estimating and CRM software

Work Environment: — Job will require constantly working outdoors in all types of weather conditions and exposure to elements. This can include heavy to moderate noise, extreme proximity to moving equipment or machinery, proximity to electrical energy, exposure to tools and machines used in tree care and landscaping industries.
Physical demands— Physical demands require constant moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Frequently ascends/descends trees using climbing rigging to perform work. Frequently operates machinery and will use hands/fingers and legs to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect and position materials. Frequently required to stand and walk, lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Constantly required to communicate with ability to talk and hear.
