Muhammad Tarek

Muhammad Tarek is a Frontend Engineer at Trella. Muhammad has been with the company since January 2019, and was previously the Head of Supply. In this role, they were responsible for securing a quality supply base to meet shipper demand needs across the country.

Tarek did extensive market research to understand the nature of the supply behaviour through different mediums, including interviews, surveys, and carrier contact. Muhammad then set a supply strategy and actionable plan that grew a 15,000-strong supply base with 97% fulfillment rates.

Tarek also worked to convert carriers' mindset that is influenced by an old fashioned industry that hasn’t changed for years. Muhammad held frequent onboarding sessions coaching carriers through the app and representing and consolidating Trella's offering.

Finally, Tarek launched and managed Trella's hub structure, given the rapid growth of the company and shippers across Egypt. The hub provided a physical focal point for front liners to manage their day-to-day tasks in a timely manner and also acted as a help desk for carriers.

Muhammad Tarek has a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Cairo University.
