Pauline Rooney

Pauline Rooney currently serves as the Head of Academic Practice: Teaching & Learning and Academic Developer in Digital Learning at Trinity College Dublin since September 2020. With a robust background in educational development, Pauline held roles as a Learning Development Officer and eLearning Developer at Technological University Dublin from May 2002 to July 2020, providing leadership and support in integrating technology into teaching practices. As an experienced academic reviewer/editor, contributions span various journals and conferences, along with participation on executive committees for key educational events. Pauline also acted as an independent expert evaluator for the European Commission's Horizon 2020 programme and served as Conference Chair for iGBL2013. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Higher Education and Lifelong Learning from The University of Sheffield, along with Master's and Bachelor's degrees from Queen's University Belfast. Pauline is a member of the Staff and Educational Development Association, working towards a Fellowship focused on supporting educational change.
