Dharmendra Patil

Dharmendra Patil is an experienced professional in the field of agriculture and biotechnology, currently serving as Pipeline and Germplasm Manager at Tropic since September 2020. In this role, Dharmendra manages the trait pipeline for all rice programs within the Rice Biotechnology Department while coordinating resources with the operations team. Previously, as a Senior Rice Specialist, Dharmendra established rice transformation capabilities and improved transformation systems for gene delivery. Dharmendra's earlier experience includes roles as a Research Associate at DuPont Pioneer, focusing on genome editing and genetic delivery systems, and a Research Associate at Bejo Sheetal Seeds Pvt Ltd, where leadership was demonstrated in developing transformation strategies for vegetable crops. Dharmendra holds a Master's degree in Applied Genetics from Bangalore University and a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth.
