João Chambel

João Chambel is the current Commercial Sales at Tropical Marine Centre. João has over 9 years of experience in the Aquaculture industry. Prior to their current position, João was the Managing Director of AQUASPROSea, a Portuguese company dedicated to the production of ornamental species of salted water. João has also worked as an Aquaculture Researcher with the Polytechnic of Leiria, where they developed research projects in order to develop protocols for the maintenance of ornamental species. Some of their notable works include "Effect of LEDs light spectrum on success of fragmentation and growth of leather coral Sarcophyton spp.", "Can a freshwater aquaculture model be used for marine drug discovery?", and "Effect of stocking -density and different commercial diets in growth of Percula Clownfish, Amphiprion percula (Lacepede, 1802)".

João Chambel has a Master's degree in Aquaculture from the Polytechnic of Leiria and a PhD in Biology from the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa.
