Paul West

Paul West is the current Chairman at Tropical Marine Centre. Paul has held this position since February 2021. Prior to this, they were the CEO and Main Shareholder of the company from December 2012 to February 2021. Paul has also been the Managing Director of the company from January 1997 to February 2018.

West started their career in the marine industry in 1979 as a Marine Hatchery Manager for Scottish Sea Farms Ltd. Paul then became a Manager of Marine Hatchery Operations for Golden Sea Produce Ltd in 1984. In 1987, they took on the role of Consultant for R & R Finfish. In 1996, they became the Managing Director for Mannin Sea Farms Ltd.

In 1997, West became a Director for Cranswick Pet & Aquatics PLC and the Managing Director of Tropical Marine Centre Ltd. Paul held these positions until 2009 when they left Cranswick to become the CEO and Main Shareholder of Tropical Marine Centre Group (2021) Ltd. Paul has been with the company ever since and was appointed Chairman in February 2021.

Paul West received a BSc. Jnt Hons in Zoology/Marine Zoology from University College of North Wales, Bangor. Paul also attended Belmont Abbey School.
