Mohamed Kahiye

Mohamed Kahiye is an experienced news correspondent currently working with CGTN since December 2021 and TRT World since January 2019, where reporting news and feature stories is a primary focus. In addition, Kahiye has a history of advocating for press freedom in Kenya and Somalia and has held various roles such as Producer, Script Writer, and Online Communications Director at Hornconnect, and Social Media Director at the Mogadishu International Book Fair. Kahiye has served as East Africa Correspondent for 5 PILLARZ and international relations advisor for the National Union for Somali Journalists. Previous experience includes positions as Social Media Manager for Transparency Solutions and English News Content Writer for Radio Bar-Kulan. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution from Mount Kenya University and a Bachelor's degree in Diplomacy and International Relations from Kampala International University.
