Joe Johnston

Joe Johnston is an experienced design leader currently serving as SVP and Experience Design Director at Truist since September 2024, where initiatives focus on transforming banking experiences across the digital and physical realms. Previously, Joe held the position of Group Experience Design Director at Code and Theory, leading a design team to enhance customer and employee experiences through innovative strategies and technologies. Joe's extensive background also includes roles such as Group Creative Director and Creative Director at Y Media Labs, Sr. Director of Experience & Service Design at North Highland, Group Experience Director at Huge, and VP of Experience Innovation at Universal Mind, among others. Joe's career began as a Front End Web Technologist at Crowe Chizek, following education at Ferris State University with a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Design.
