Graham Jones

Dr. Graham Jones is an executive and technical leader in pharmaceutical and biotechnology product development and innovation. He is currently the Head of Research and Innovation, Connected Health Group for Novartis AG. He was recruited to Novartis from Tufts University Medical Center, where he was a Professor of Medicine and Director of Translational Research. Prior to that, Dr. Jones was Professor, Chair, and Vice Provost at Northeastern University, where he oversaw technology transfer, commercialization, and technology spinouts and directed drug development research programs. Dr. Jones holds a Ph.D. from Imperial College London, was a NATO Fellow at Harvard University, and was awarded a DSc from the University of Liverpool for career contributions to medicinal chemistry.

Dr. Jones is a thought leader, change agent, educator, and communicator with a portfolio of 180+ peer-reviewed publications in drug development, digital health, and product innovation. He has more than 20 years of leadership in technology transfer, innovation strategy, IP portfolio development, management and licensing technology-based startups, and public-private-partnerships. He has served as a board member and advisor to startups that have subsequently raised $4B in capital and technical advisor to US, Anglo, and APEC governments on innovation, technology transfer, and biopharmaceuticals. He is a key contributor to FDA guidelines on biosimilars.
