Eric Smith

Eric Smith serves as the Chief Digital Officer at Memorial Hermann Health System since April 2020, focusing on enhancing digital, data analytics, and contact center experiences. With extensive experience at USAA from June 2008 to April 2020, Eric held multiple leadership roles, including Senior Vice President for Design, Digital, Data & Innovation, overseeing the development of member and employee digital experiences, Chief Data & Analytics Officer, and Chief Technology Officer, where strategic vision for technology at USAA was established. Additional positions at USAA include Vice President of Architecture, Assistant Vice President of Architecture, and Executive Director of Contact Center Applications. Prior professional experiences include various technical roles at Maryville Technologies, Vanstar, Cardiovascular Consultants, and the Kansas Army National Guard. Eric's educational background includes a BS in Economics and Psychology from The University of Kansas and executive education programs from Harvard Business School and Stanford University.
