Katie Mitzner

Katie Mitzner M.A. serves as the Director of Public Affairs at Brightline Trains since September 2019, following a role as Manager of Public Affairs within the same organization. Prior to this, Katie held positions as an Adjunct Instructor at Full Sail University, Public Information Specialist at WSP USA, and Public Information Specialist at the Florida Department of Transportation. As President and Founder of JoLu Communications, LLC, Katie focused on public relations, particularly in healthcare and consumer media. Previous experience includes Media Relations and Public Affairs Manager at Orlando Health, Executive Director of the Florida chapter of Hands & Voices, Senior Communications Specialist at Kaiser Permanente, and Director of Communications at the Better Business Bureau of the Southland and Southern Colorado. Katie Mitzner earned a Master's in Communication Management from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's in Mass Communication from Alma College.
