Scott Rickard

Scott Rickard is a seasoned expert in applied mathematics and data science, currently serving as Chief AI Scientist at EMOTIV since April 2023. Previously, Rickard held the position of Chief Data Scientist at Citadel LLC, where leadership was provided to a data science team focusing on NLP and machine learning applications in finance. Rickard's experience includes significant roles at Salesforce as SVP of Data Science for Service Cloud and Communities, and founding CEO of Probability Dynamics, a quantitative investment management research firm. An academic background includes a professorship and directorship at University College Dublin, where extensive research funding was secured, alongside contributions to the fields of signal processing and neural networks during earlier positions at Siemens Corporate Research and Charles Stark Draper Laboratory. Rickard earned a PhD in Applied and Computational Mathematics from Princeton University and holds dual BSc and MSc degrees in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
