Avarna Jain

Avarna Jain is a Software Engineer at Twilio Inc. since November 2019, specializing in fraud services and the development of tools for customer support to enhance fraud detection and data quality. Avarna has also played a pivotal role in improving internal workflows and collaborated with teams using agile methodologies. Currently, Avarna participates in Cohort 3 of the Climatebase Fellowship while previously contributing as a Research Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, and as a Research Technician at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Avarna's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences focused on Environmental and Sustainability Studies from Vanderbilt University and a Bootcamp in Software Engineering from Hackbright Academy. Additional experiences include research internships and projects in greenhouse gas emissions and solar power technology.
