Gaurav Sharma

Gaurav Sharma is a prominent expert in Computer Vision and Machine Learning, currently serving as the Head of AI Research at Typeface since January 2024, following the acquisition of TensorTour, Inc. where Gaurav co-founded and held the position of CEO from April 2021 to December 2023. Gaurav is also a Visiting Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur since December 2020, having previously worked as an Assistant Professor at the same institute from April 2016 to August 2017. Past research experience includes roles as a Researcher at NEC Laboratories America (2017-2020), a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics (2015-2016), and various positions involving algorithm development for image processing at Technicolor and CNRS - GREYC. Gaurav holds a PhD in Computer Vision and Machine Learning from INRIA and the University of Caen, and an integrated Master of Technology in Mathematics and Computing from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
