Maxwell McLaughlin

Maxwell McLaughlin is an analyst at Tyton Partners. Maxwell previously worked as a deal advisory intern at KPMG from June 2019 to August 2020, where they completed 50+ hours of technical and soft skill training in areas such as cash forecasting, M&A strategy, data literacy, and client relationship management. Maxwell also analyzed prior quality of earnings adjustments for acquisition targets to familiarize himself with the financial due diligence process, primarily for buy-side private equity clients. In addition, they constructed 3 memo briefings on current industry trends, including PE material adverse change clauses, CEO leadership strategies, and the response of the retail industry to Covid-19.

Before working at KPMG, McLaughlin was a student athlete tutor at Indiana University Bloomington from January 2019 to May 2020. There, they instructed between 3 and 6 students per week in areas such as accounting, computing, mathematics, and economics. Maxwell also designed and executed custom academic plans for student athletes based on students’ and educators’ academic goals. As a result of their tutoring, struggling students gained a deeper understanding of complex concepts.
