Min Kim

Min Kim has extensive experience in the U.S. Coast Guard, currently serving as Deputy Executive Officer at Forward Operating Base Point Mugu and previously as Future Operations Planner at Joint Interagency Task Force West. Kim also holds a position as a Korean Linguist with the National Language Service Corps since April 2016. Prior roles within the Coast Guard include MH-65D Helicopter Instructor Pilot and Flight Examiner, as well as chief of the Ports, Waterways, Coastal Security Branch. Kim's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Operations Research and Computer Analysis from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and a Master’s Degree in International Public Policy and Management from the University of Southern California. Additionally, Kim participated as a Fellow in the Advanced Security Cooperation Course at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia Pacific Center for Security Studies.
