State Executive Director Farm Service Agency at U.S. Department of Agriculture

Ginger Sykes Torres, AICP, currently serves as the State Executive Director of the USDA Farm Service Agency in Arizona, appointed by the Biden Administration in October 2022. Additionally, Ginger holds the position of Vice-Chair on the Environmental Quality and Sustainability Commission for the City of Phoenix and previously chaired the Phoenix Urban Heat Island and Tree and Shade Subcommittee. Ginger is the founder of Diné4Biden, which focuses on amplifying Native American voices in political discourse, and has extensive experience as an environmental consultant specializing in tribal and environmental issues. Ginger co-founded an initiative that provided PPE supplies to frontline workers in Native American communities during the COVID-19 pandemic and has held several senior environmental planning roles throughout a career dedicated to climate resilience and sustainability. Ginger earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Earth Systems from Stanford University.
