Kate Lewis

Kate Lewis is an experienced leader in agricultural and environmental policy, currently serving as Executive Director of the NAREEE Advisory Board at USDA since April 2009. In this role, Kate facilitates collaboration between external agricultural stakeholders and the USDA on research and education initiatives. Previously, Kate managed the BioPreferred Program at USDA, promoting biobased products, and held temporary leadership positions within the Farm Service Agency and the US Forest Service to enhance public engagement and strategic partnerships. Prior experience includes a role at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as Sales and Marketing Manager, focusing on marketing strategies for energy-efficient products, and as a Communications Specialist at Enviro-Management & Research, Inc. Kate holds a BA in Rhetoric and Communications from the University of Virginia.
