Sanah Baig

Sanah Baig serves as the Deputy Under Secretary for Research, Education, and Economics at the USDA, where leadership encompasses the management of a $4 billion science enterprise. Prior to this role, Sanah held multiple positions at the USDA, including Chief of Staff and Advisor to the Secretary for Special Projects, contributing to rural development initiatives and public-private partnerships. Experience also includes a leadership role at the Good Food Institute, where Sanah focused on global strategy and alternative protein development. Additional contributions to the Biden-Harris Transition Team and the National Association of Counties highlight a commitment to economic development and community resilience. Sanah holds a dual degree in International Relations and Psychology from the University of Virginia.
