Victor Tineo

Victor Tineo possesses extensive experience in economic analysis and policy formulation, currently serving as Deputy Director and International Economist at the U.S. Department of the Treasury since September 2015, where responsibilities include managing the Japan, Australia, and New Zealand portfolio and formulating economic policy recommendations for senior executives. Prior roles include Financial Economist at the Export-Import Bank of the United States, providing sovereign and country risk analyses for African markets and advising on economic developments, and a Finance and Macroeconomics Analyst at the Congressional Research Service. Victor Tineo has also gained experience as an Economic Development Intern at the Foundation for Sustainable Development and as a Business Analyst at Canon Business Solutions. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in International Economics from UC San Diego and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Vassar College.
