Oyekunle Osilaja

Oyekunle is a Non-Executive Director at UPDC Plc. A seasoned real estate and financial services expert, he has nearly 30 years of experience working for top companies in the UK, Western Europe and Nigeria.

Prior to his appointment as Senior Adviser, Non-Executive Director at UPDC in January 2020, Oyekunle was Consultant (Real Estate Investment & Strategy Advisory) at Ecobank Nigeria and Head, EDC Nigeria/Group Head, Real Estate at Ecobank Nigeria.

Before working at Ecobank in 2012, he spent most of his career in the UK at Jones Lang LaSalle.  As European Director, Head Debt & Structured Finance. He has advised on various transactions including funding structure for King’s Cross redevelopment (£5billion), Four Seasons Hotel, Milan, The Adelphi London, and the Super-Regional Meadowhall Shopping Centre, UK (British Land) and various CMBS transactions.  He was also involved in advising for various non-performing loans in the real estate sector.

He has sat on various boards including Old Mutual Gen. Insurance Company, Nigeria and Investment Committee of CAPIC Fund (part of Africa Capital Alliance).

He earned a BSc from the University of Lagos and Executive Development Program from the University of Warwick (Warwick Business School).
