Helena Pontes-Pedrosa

Helena Pontes-Pedrosa is an experienced professional currently serving as Associate Director at UBC since October 2012, with a strong background in pharmacovigilance and safety science. Helena has held multiple roles at UBC, including Team Manager, Senior Safety Scientist, and Safety Scientist, where responsibilities have included literature review for safety information, case processing, project oversight, SOP development, and training of team members. Prior experience includes a post-doctoral position at the University of Geneva, focusing on molecular biology and project management, as well as a PhD in Toxicology from the University of Porto. Helena's educational credentials also include a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Clinical Trials Management from the University of Geneva and a Pharm D in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Porto.
