Danny Guo

Danny Guo is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in engineering and data science leadership. Currently serving as Vice President of Engineering at Uber since February 2015, Danny leads critical groups focused on autonomous technologies and earner incentives within the Mobility and Delivery lines of business. Prior experience includes roles as a Software Engineer at Facebook, where contributions were made to newsfeed ranking and ad serving systems, and as a Software Development Engineer at Microsoft, focused on ad selection technology. Danny started a career in engineering at Cisco Systems, specializing in network interface drivers, and has a strong research background from a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of California, Riverside, where innovative work on scheduling algorithms and multithreaded systems was conducted. Additionally, a commitment to education is demonstrated through teaching assistant roles and recognized contributions during internships.
