Bettina Hirl

Bettina Hirl, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Data Scientist in ESG Methodology at UBS, focusing on Group Sustainability and Impact since September 2021. Prior to this role, Bettina worked as a Data Scientist at Swiss Life from November 2018 to September 2021. Bettina has also contributed to academia as a Teaching and Research Assistant in Economics at USI Università della Svizzera italiana between September 2012 and 2018, and holds practical experience as an External Project Consultant and Research Trainee at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre. Early career experience includes an internship in Private Wealth Management at Deutsche Bank Suisse SA in July 2007. Bettina's educational background includes a Ph.D. in Economics from USI Università della Svizzera italiana, a Master of Arts from the University of St.Gallen, a Bachelor of Science from the University of Lausanne, and studies as a Visiting Doctoral Student at ETH Zürich.
