Edyta Szewczyk

Edyta Szewczyk is an experienced scientist with a robust background in genetics, molecular biology, and bioinformatics, currently serving as an Associate Project Scientist and previously as an Assistant Specialist at the University of California, Berkeley. Szewczyk has held positions such as External Scientific Expert at the European Food Safety Authority, Principal Scientist at Michroma, and Senior Scientist at Bolt Threads, where contributions included genetic engineering of filamentous fungi and development of sustainable biomaterials. With a PhD from the University of Melbourne and extensive experience in bioprocessing, Szewczyk has made significant advancements in high-throughput genetic modifications, microbial engineering, and biosafety research across various biotech and research institutions.
