Amarnath Gupta

Amarnath Gupta is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in computer science and engineering. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Academic Affairs at the San Diego Supercomputer Center, Amarnath Gupta oversees career advancement and mentoring programs for academic personnel. As the Director of the Advanced Query Processing Lab, efforts included securing grants and developing software for scientific information management. A contributor to the field of semantic information integration and graph indexing, Amarnath Gupta has also held positions as a scientist at Virage, Inc. and as a lecturer and computer engineer at the Indian Statistical Institute. An affiliated faculty member at UC San Diego's Computer Science and Engineering department, Amarnath Gupta's educational background includes a Ph.D. from Jadavpur University, a Master's in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington, and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
