Karandeep Singh

Karandeep Singh is an accomplished academic and healthcare professional currently serving as an Associate Professor and the Joan and Irwin Jacobs Chancellor’s Endowed Chair in Digital Health Innovation at UC San Diego, alongside roles as Associate CMIO for Inpatient Care and Chief Health AI Officer at UC San Diego Health. Prior to these positions, Karandeep Singh held various roles within the Department of Learning Health Sciences at Michigan Medical School, culminating in an Associate Professor position. Singh also served as Associate CMIO for Artificial Intelligence at Michigan Medicine and completed Nephrology Fellowships at both Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital. Educational credentials include a Master of Medical Sciences in Biomedical Informatics from Harvard Medical School, an M.D. from the University of Michigan Medical School, and a Bachelor of Science in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Michigan.
