Julie Shepherd-Smith

Julie Shepherd-Smith has extensive experience in pharmacovigilance and safety management, currently serving as Director, Safety Lead Neurology at UCB since July 2019, with previous roles including Associate Safety Lead Immunology. Prior to this, Julie worked as Principal Pharmacovigilance Project Manager at ICON plc, overseeing safety aspects of client phase 2/3 studies. Julie's background includes positions as Business Unit Manager for Patient Leaflet Readability Testing at APTIV SOLUTIONS (UK) LTD, EU Medical Information & Pharmacovigilance Manager at Pathogenesis, LLC, and Pharmacovigilance Manager at Wyeth. Additional roles span medical information and drug safety at Abbott Laboratories and senior medical information specialist at Hoechst. Julie holds a B.Pharm in Pharmacy from the University of Nottingham and is currently pursuing a Diploma in Pharmacovigilance at the University of Hertfordshire.
