Sonya Karanicolas

Sonya Karanicolas serves as the Executive Assistant in the Office of the CEO at UHN Foundation since August 2024. Previously, Sonya held multiple roles at Ontario Centre of Innovation, including Administrative Coordinator for the Office of the President & CEO and Board of Directors from July 2021 to July 2024, and Business Development Coordinator. Prior to this, Sonya worked at BMO Financial Group in various capacities focused on strategy, governance, and operational support, including roles as Administrative & Operational Specialist and Strategic Initiatives Coordinator. Sonya also gained experience as Office Manager and Executive Assistant to the CEO at BEworks and has a rich background in production coordination and administration from tenures at Ogilvy Canada and other organizations. Educational pursuits include studies at The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education at Toronto Metropolitan University.
