Richard Poppleston, BFP, FCA, is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in senior financial roles. Currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at UK Finance since August 2018, Richard has also held significant positions such as Associate and Finance Subject Matter Expert at Avoko, Owner of Ownet, and Impairment Policy Editor at HSBC, leading the bank's global IFRS 9 impairment programme. Additional experience includes roles as Finance Projects Consultant at Shawbrook Bank, Finance Transformation Consultant at Aldermore Bank PLC, Group Financial Controller at Oakam Limited, CFO at Rivington Street Holdings PLC, and Director of Finance at Equity Trust.
