Ik Ogbonmwan

Ik Ogbonmwan is a Consultant in Sport & Exercise Medicine at Bupa and holds multiple positions including Sports Medicine Physician at UK Sports Institute, Consultant in Sport, Exercise and Musculoskeletal Medicine at Blackberry Clinic, and Physical Activity Clinical Champion at Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre. As a Visiting Senior Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University, Ik contributes to the Sport and Exercise Medicine (MSc) program. Additionally, Ik serves as England Women’s Team Doctor (U17) and works with various England Development Teams at The Football Association. With experience as Academy Doctor at Burnley Football Club and General Practitioner at Primary Care Manchester Limited, Ik also holds the role of Associate Editor for BMJ Open Sport & Exercise Medicine Journal. Educational qualifications include PGCert in Medical Education and PGCert in Musculoskeletal Ultrasonography, along with advanced degrees in Sports Medicine, Ageing & Health, and Medicine from notable universities.
