Makoto Takada

Makoto Takada is a seasoned fashion professional with extensive experience in design and development, currently serving as the Senior Director of Development at Ulla Johnson Inc since March 2016. Previously held the position of Design Director at ICB, where responsibilities included executing the entire ICB NY collection and creating seasonal direction mood boards and design concepts. Takada also served as Design Studio Director and Senior Designer at Thakoon, focusing on the design of Thakoon and Thakoon Addition collections while collaborating with various creatives on initial concepts. Earlier career roles include Pattern Maker at Werkstatt and Nicolas Caito, as well as freelance positions for multiple renowned brands. Takada's educational background includes a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion/Apparel Design and an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Fashion Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology, along with an Associate's Degree in International Business from Goldey-Beacom College.
