Ilya Soifer

Ilya Soifer is a seasoned professional in bioinformatics and systems biology with extensive experience in the genomic field. Currently serving as the Director at Ultima Genomics since June 2019, Ilya previously worked as a Bioinformatics Specialist at Calico Labs from September 2015 to May 2019. Prior to that role, Ilya was an Algorithm Developer at NRGENE Ltd, focusing on genomic analysis algorithms for plants. The research background includes a Postdoctoral position at the Weizmann Institute of Science, engaging in microscopy and image analysis related to cellular division in budding yeast, alongside completing a PhD in Systems Biology at the same institution. Ilya's early career involved programming and research at IDF from October 1999 to January 2006.
